‘Tychist Objects’ is a series that uses a ‘top-down’ approach to algorithmic development. The process begins by harvesting a random number from nature by using a quantum random number generator. The algorithm creates geometry as it works. They are inherently abstract because they are built from self-referential geometry. Color is also selected by procedures using chance. This series represents a collection of works that were well suited to fabrication by using painting techniques. Many use the closed curve as the basic geometrical entity which is well suited for rendering in color with paint. The complete details are described in my book The Physible Universe.
